Florida State gets second prediction to land in-state DL

Article excerpt

Florida State has received a second prediction that they'll land three-star defensive lineman Jason Lewis, who is currently on an official visit to the Tallahassee campus. Lewis, a 2027 recruit from in-state, represents a key piece of the Seminoles' defensive line recruitment class. The dual predictions suggest growing momentum in FSU's efforts to secure the prospect during what appears to be an active recruiting window.

The Florida State Seminoles are currently hosting 2027 three-star defensive lineman Jason Lewis for an official visit. This is his third trip to Tallahassee since his offer back in February.

The Seminoles received a crystal ball prediction to land Lewis a few days after his unofficial visit in April. On Friday, Kolby Crawford of Noles247 did the same thing as he has FSU gaining a commitment from the 6-foot-4, 260-pounder.

This would be a very solid addition to the 2027 recruiting cycle for Florida State. Last Sunday, they landed three-star defensive lineman Eric Vaulx Jr. out of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi. If FSU can get Lewis on board, he'll be the third recruit on the defensive line in the cycle, which is headed by four-star edge Anthony Cavallaro, their highest-ranked commit.

Lewis is the nation's No. 612 overall player and the No. 74 defensive lineman in the country per 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Florida, he's the No. 51 prospect.
