Officially, Tracker Season 4 has been set to premiere on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at 9:30 PM, ET. It follows the Season 2 premiere of Marshals , the returning Yellowstone spinoff series. After the premiere, Tracker will revert back to its regular 9:00-10:00 PM timeslot beginning on Sunday, Oct. 11. It is expected to follow its prior 22-episode pattern, though it hasn't been announced exactly how many episodes there will be in Season 4.
Created by Ben H. Winters, Tracker is derived from the original novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver. The show stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a survivalist who makes a living from searching for missing persons in various places across the country. Tracker also stars Fiona Rene as attorney Reenie Greene and Chris Lee as Randy, a hacker who helps Colter with his electronic expertise. Jensen Ackles also makes frequent guest appearances as Russell Shaw, Colter's older brother.
Season 4's production came with a major change for the show. After previously holding production in Vancouver, Season 4 is moving over to Los Angeles in order to capitalize on California's incentive program to get a $48 million tax credit. When the news was announced, Hartley, who also serves as an executive producer on Tracker , teased how the change in filming locations would also bring about many interesting new sights in Season 4.
"I’m proud of what we built in Vancouver. I’m also very excited we’re bringing Tracker to L.A.,” Justin Hartley said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to continuing to tell these stories alongside the new, fresh places we’ll be heading to next. Most importantly, I want to thank the fans for showing up for us every step of the way. We couldn’t do this without you.”
Showrunner Elwood Reid added, "Location is a huge part of the storytelling on Tracker . We’re so grateful to the crew and people of Vancouver who made the first three seasons of this hit drama possible, and are simultaneously thrilled to be able to kick off the fourth season of Tracker by filming in Los Angeles, thanks to the tax incentive program that supports bringing production back to California.”
Tracker has maintained strong ratings on CBS since its launch on the network in 2024. It has also been well reviewed for its entire run. Should this continue with the reception of Season 4, there still could be many more seasons to come.
