'Warwickshire can win Championship' - Mousley
Article excerpt
Warwickshire all-rounder Dan Mousley believes his squad has the credentials to claim their ninth County Championship title this season. The club hasn't won the domestic competition since 2012, leaving a decade-long drought that Mousley says the current roster is determined to end. Mousley's confidence reflects what appears to be a renewed competitive spirit within the team, though the article doesn't specify which recent performances or roster additions fuel that optimism. The statement comes as Warwickshire navigates the ongoing County Championship campaign.

Warwickshire all-rounder Dan Mousley says the squad believes they can end this season with their ninth County Championship title.
The Bears have endured a torrid time in the T20 Blast but sealed a first win of the season with a club-record chase of 215 at Somerset on Sunday.
Mousley hit an unbeaten 71 and shared a 145-run stand with Beau Webster (112) in the six-wicket win, and stressed its importance for their red-ball campaign.
Warwickshire sit second in the Championship, five points behind defending champions Nottinghamshire heading into back-to-back away matches against Yorkshire and Somerset.
"We're doing really well in the Championship, we've played some great cricket," he told BBC Radio WM.
"Just to carry that momentum into the Championship is something we spoke about before the game, so to go and do that today was really pleasing."

Mousley is set to lead England Lions against South Africa A on Tuesday before rejoining the Bears for their trip to Scarborough on Friday.
Warwickshire won the title in 2021 but avoided relegation by just three points the following season and have finished no higher than fourth since then.
"It's something we've got better and better at," he said.
"We're second at the minute, but we really feel we can go on and potentially win it. We've just got to keep believing as a group.
"These two games are massive. Some of the bowlers have had a good rest so we're ready to crack on on Friday."
