FORT WORTH, Texas, Water Street Brass has introduced Vestige, a new collection of cabinetry hardware designed to blend with custom millwork through customizable finishes and color-matched wood inserts.

Designed and manufactured in the United States, the Vestige collection draws inspiration from the geometric forms of artist Ellsworth Kelly and the bold colors and clean lines of 1980s American sportswear. According to the company, the collection was developed in response to designers seeking hardware that integrates seamlessly with custom cabinetry rather than relying on standard finish options.

The collection includes 16 styles spanning pulls, appliance pulls, and knobs, allowing designers to specify a consistent hardware system throughout kitchens, baths, and other millwork projects.

“While working at Watermark, I noticed how much designers and homeowners love customizing handles of our Elements Collection. For that collection, we offer many insert options, as well as the templates so designers can have their inserts fabricated in the exact same stone or material as their counters," says Stephanie Oh Haley, director of product at Watermark and in-house designer of Vestige. "This led me to explore how we can design something that is both flexible and beautiful for cabinetry hardware to meet many different needs. For example, for people who want a statement metal piece, they can select the all metal version. For someone who wants a fun contrast, they can pick a contrast color or wood insert. And for someone looking for subtlety, they can match the inserts exactly to their cabinetry, leaving only a visual trace of metal. I designed this collection for people who love to design.”

Each piece is machined from solid brass and is available in three configurations:

All-solid brass.

Solid brass with a contrasting brass inlay.

Solid brass with a wood insert designed to be finished to surrounding cabinetry.

According to the company, the customizable system gives designers and cabinetmakers greater flexibility while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic across an entire project.

For custom projects, Water Street Brass supplies the brass hardware base and unfinished wood inserts separately, enabling cabinetmakers to finish the inserts using the same paint, stain, or finishing process applied to the cabinetry. The approach allows the hardware to closely match the finished millwork instead of being limited to a predetermined finish palette.
