The Denver Broncos will open training camp in about three weeks, ready to show off a roster they believe will compete for a Super Bowl in 2026.
The team is set at just about every key position and there are quality reserves who will be locks to make the 53-man roster. But there are also a handful of players who aren't being talked about enough that are being completely overlooked.
When camp opens and we get into the preseason slate, these are players who should not be counted out when it comes to making an impact for the team at some point this season.
Nick Gargiulo, OL
The Broncos have a strong offensive line. Beyond the starting five, there are multiple players who are quality reserves who could start for some teams around the league. This is going to lead to some difficult decisions for the coaching staff this summer.
Garett Bolles, Quinn Meinerz, Luke Wattenberg, Ben Powers and Mike McGlinchey will be the starters. Alex Palczewski, Frank Crum and fourth-round pick Kage Casey should lead the list of rotational guys. But Nick Gargiulo, a seventh-round pick who played at Yale and South Carolina in college, should not be counted out for a spot if the team keeps nine offensive linemen.
Gargiulo missed all of 2025 with an ACL injury that he suffered in August, which has led to him being forgotten, even by Broncos fans. But he shouldn't be.
Tyler Badie, RB
The Broncos are going to have J.K. Dobbins, RJ Harvey and rookie Jonah Coleman as their top three running backs in 2026 and for the foreseeable future. But the team will have a hard time parting with Tyler Badie, an intelligent football player who holds up in pass protection and is a good special teams guy.
Matt Henningsen, DL
Another player who sat out all of last season with injury, Matt Henningsen, who was recently named the most surprising player on the team this offseason by Jeff Legwold of ESPN, could make a push for a roster spot as the Broncos have questions along the defensive line.
The Broncos are looking for someone to step up and fill the shoes of free agency departure John Franklin-Myers, but they will also be looking for players to provide depth behind that player.
Jaden Robinson, CB
The Broncos have a strong group at cornerback, led by Pat Surtain II, recently ranked as the top cornerback in the league by ESPN. Riley Moss, Ja'Quan McMillian and Jahdae Barron join Surtain to help form one of the league's most consistent secondaries, but if there is a promising project player who the team could develop, it might be Jaden Robinson.

It's easy to focus on the more recent undrafted additions, such as Brent Austin and Blake Cotton, but Robinson has spent an entire year in the system after going undrafted in 2025 and spending the year on the team's practice squad.
