Former Duke Blue Devil and ACC Player of the Year Award winner Marvin Bagley III signed a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets early Thursday morning, according to NBA insider Shams Charania. Bagley III is already the fourth Blue Devil to switch teams this offseason after Luke Kennard signed with the Suns and both Brandon Ingram and Grayson Allen were traded.
Although Bagley III hasn't quite lived up to the hype of a former No. 2 overall pick, he had a solid bounce-back season last year after a poor showing in the 2024-25 campaign. In 60 games between the Wizards and Mavericks during the 2025-26 season, Bagley III averaged 10.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.7 blocks.
Now playing with three-time MVP award winner Nikola Jokic in Denver, the 27-year-old will have a chance to learn from one of the best.
