F1 standings after Pierre Gasly’s Monaco GP podium reinstated following Alpine appeal
Article excerpt
Pierre Gasly climbed back onto the Monaco Grand Prix podium after Alpine's successful appeal overturned his disqualification, reclaiming third place and the points that come with it. Isack Hadjar, who had celebrated on the podium following Gasly's original exclusion, now misses out on the result. The reversal reshuffles the F1 championship standings as the season progresses, with Gasly's reinstatement altering the points distribution among top competitors.
Pierre Gasly has had his third-place finish at the Monaco Grand Prix reinstated after a successful appeal from his Alpine F1 team.
Gasly finished third at the chequered flag before he was punished by two five-second time penalties, due to speeding in the pit lane, and dropped to seventh.
However, Alpine appealed the penalties, given several drivers fell foul of the pit-lane speed limit in last Sunday’s race and amid concerns about the official F1 timing of the pit-lane speed.

Now, on Friday ahead of this weekend’s Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, Alpine’s right of review has proved successful, and Gasly reclaims his third-place finish, with Isack Hadjar dropping to fourth.
Here are the standings after Gasly’s appeal.
