The Bestselling Books of the Week, According to All the Lists

Article excerpt

USA Today, Publishers Weekly, NYT, Amazon, and Indie Booksellers all have their own bestseller lists. Here are the combined results.

Before we get into the books appearing across all the bestseller lists, it’s worth mentioning a title you won’t see here. Most of the lists separate out children’s bestsellers, so they rarely appear in this roundup, but Warriors Graphic Novel: The New Prophecy #1 by Sammy Savos and illustrated Gibson Twist is the overall #2 bestseller this week on Publishers Weekly.

The only book appearing here for the first time is Tempting Venom by Rina Kent, an enemies-to-lovers M/M hockey romance. Hmm, I wonder why that’s piquing readers’ interests these days. (This is being pitched as a dark romance, though, so keep that in mind!)

This list continues to lack diversity on many levels, including being disproportionately by white authors. Some Indie Bestsellers and Independent Press Bestsellers you should know about are Communion: The Female Search for Love by bell hooks, Witch Hat Atelier, Vol. 1 by Kamome Shirahama, and The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese.

To get these numbers, we look at The New York Times, both Combined Print & E-Book Fiction and Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction lists; Amazon Charts, both Fiction and Nonfiction; Publishers Weekly; USA Today; and Indie Bestsellers, Fiction and Nonfiction, both Paperback and Hardcover. Titles appearing on this list for the first time are bolded.
