On Thursday, Mets slugger Mark Vientos was hit by a pitch on his hand and suffered a bone fracture, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.

Before landing on the Injured List, Vientos had 11 homers and 35 RBIs in 72 games. Last season, he had 17 homers and 61 RBIs in 121 games played. Now, the Mets are missing that big bat for the foreseeable future.
