CBS is compromising a key element of NCIS's franchise formula, bringing Scott Caan back to the network after Hawaii Five-0 as a new character. Caan will star opposite LL Cool J in a new NCIS spinoff launching in the fall, NCIS: New York, which is returning the rapper-turned-actor’s Sam Hanna character from NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: Hawai’i Season 3.
