Elijah Sarratt and Ja'kobi Lane aren’t just teammates, they’re competitors pushing each other through the same adjustment period. That dynamic has already begun to shape how both rookies develop in Baltimore. During a segment of The Lounge Podcast, Sarratt described their relationship.
Sarratt said,
“Man it’s been great we really started at the combine when we first met and as soon as we met it was like we were boys already.”
He added,
“That’s just kind of his personality man like he’s outgoing he treats you like family.”
That early bond has carried into their daily work.
Sarratt continued, “I feel like the two of us can do some big things in the league, and it’s just a matter of keeping our heads down and taking it day by day.”
The competition isn’t tense, it’s productive. Both players understand there are limited opportunities and that every rep matters in determining who climbs the depth chart faster.
