Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Cast Reacts to the Viral Hot Spock Memes

The stars of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds respond to the current wave of Hot Spock memes that have been going viral ahead of the release of Season 5.

The stars of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds are finally reacting to the viral Hot Spock memes. Ethan Peck even gave them his seal of approval.

Speaking to CBR's Sean O'Connell during San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount, Celia Rose Gooding, and Ethan Peck (the latter of whom portrays Spock on the series) were asked about the impact of the Hot Spock memes on the series. "I don't think it's had anything to do with anything," Peck responded.

"It's funny to me to hear that. Yeah, I do try to put forward that 'hotness,'" Peck continued, drawing laughs from his co-stars. "It's really funny and flattering to me."

He continued, "I mean, [Spock is] a guy who's not really worried about aesthetics, you know, he's not like worried about how he looks. I mean, look at his haircut. "He's looking at his haircut," Peck added, drawing mixed responses from Mount and Gooding, the latter of whom was quick to defend the character's iconic haircut. "Yeah, no, I shouldn't be knocking Spock's haircut.

Peck went on to say, "I think that's wonderful because, you know what makes him special to me is his, his intellect, his, his emotionality, his intensity, his sensitivity. And if these things appeal to a human, male, female, or otherwise, that's really wonderful, you know, that's really cool that those qualities are attractive, and I celebrate that."

Currently, fans of the series are in the midst of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 , which has brought the crew of the USS Enterprise to incredible new heights. Strange New Worlds Season 4 debuted with a 100% "Certified Fresh" rating via review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. While that score has since dipped to 80%, Season 4 is only one episode into its run.

Fans of the hit prequel series may even be able to look forward to more than just further regular episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds beyond Season 4. As noted during their discussion with CBR's Sean O'Connell at San Diego Comic-Con, stars Anson Mount and Ethan Peck each have their own separate pitches for potential Strange New Worlds Holiday Specials .

"We talked about it for a long time," Mount stated. "There's this great tradition in the UK of doing Christmas specials, right? That we don't really have here. I mean, every now and then a show will do a Christmas-themed episode... There have been so many ideas connected to this."

Both stars went on to explain their pitches for the crew of the USS Enterprise crossing paths with Santa Claus. While Peck's involved the crew replacing Santa after accidentally killing him, Mount's would entail, "The Enterprise is flying along... There's an unidentified object, and we get closer, and it's a sleigh with a reindeer. And we beam them aboard, and it's Santa, but it's Bruce Campbell."
