Did WR Brandin Cooks hint at desire to return to Bills?
Article excerpt
Wide receiver Brandin Cooks fueled speculation about a potential return to the Buffalo Bills when discussing his 2026 plans in a recent interview. The veteran pass-catcher, who has played for multiple teams throughout his career, made comments that fans and analysts interpreted as hinting at interest in joining Buffalo's roster. Cooks' remarks came as the Bills continue evaluating their receiver depth for the upcoming season. The 31-year-old has established himself as a reliable target despite bouncing between franchises, and any move to Buffalo would reunite him with a playoff-contending team. Whether those hints translate into actual negotiations remains unclear.
Brandin Cooks was a late-season addition by the Buffalo Bills last season.Cooks appeared in five games during his brief stint plus the postseason... which included drama against the Denver Broncos.
That's all it took for Cooks.
The 32-year-old wide receiver mentioned how he plans to play in the NFL again in 2026 despite still remaining a free agent.
The Bills are clearly familiar with him, but there have been additions to the receiver room this offseason such as the team's trade for DJ Moore so space could be tight.
Even so, Cooks recently admitted Buffalo quickly grew on him. He sounds open to a return to the Bills.
"It's one thing to go and play there," Cook said. "[After playing on Bills] I can truly see it's a special place."
