Official: Barcelona secure the renewal of promising teenage forward

Article excerpt

Barcelona has extended the contract of 16-year-old forward Noah Garcia through 2029, securing another homegrown prospect from its La Masia academy. The teenage striker becomes the latest young talent to commit his future to the Catalan club, which has invested heavily in retaining its academy products. Garcia's new deal represents Barcelona's continued strategy of locking in emerging players early, keeping them off the transfer market and building from within.

Official: Barcelona secure the renewal of promising teenage forward

FC Barcelona have secured the future of another promising La Masia player, with 16-year-old forward Noah Garcia signing a new contract with the club until 2029.

“Player Noah Garcia has signed, in the presence of the 11-a-side Football coordinator and Head of Methodology, Sergi Mila, his continuation with the club in his youth stage,” the club statement read.

Born in Sabadell on 22 January 2010, Garcia joined Barcelona’s academy in 2022, initially playing for the Infantil B side.

Having grown through the ranks at La Masia, the young striker spent part of last season on loan at Sabadell, where he scored five goals in 16 league appearances for their Under-16 side.

Although injuries limited his involvement at times, Barcelona remained convinced of his potential and brought him back to represent the club at the MIC tournament in April, where he impressed with his performances.

The new deal reflects the club’s confidence in his long-term potential as they continue to invest in the next generation of academy talent.

Garcia’s renewal comes two weeks after midfielder Hugo Garces, one of the standout performers in Barcelona’s Under-16 side, signed his first professional contract with the club.
