The new helical head 15" (15BHH) and 20" (209BHH) planers from Powermatic are designed to produce smooth, consistent results with exact thickness settings and the stability of heavy-duty, cast iron construction.
The planers feature a precision-engineered system designed for repeatable accuracy. A digital readout provides exact thickness control, while the helical cutterhead ensures a finer finish and reduced noise. Heavy-duty cast iron tables provide stability throughout operation, helping woodworkers achieve consistent results project after project.
Designed with control and usability in mind, the planers include a larger emergency stop for improved safety, an upgraded caster locking and braking system for enhanced stability and mobility, and dual lifting handles for easier positioning in the shop.
Efficiency improvements help keep work moving without interruption, including faster cutterhead access for maintenance and a bi-directional 4" dust port for improved chip removal and cleaner operation.
