I wanted to recreate the professional-grade laser tag experience you find at commercial arcades. After a year of trial and error, I finally have a working prototype, completely themed in a Fallout style!
I started with the amazing 3D model from ytec3d (https://ytec3d.com/laser-pistol/) but ended up modifying or replacing almost every single part to clear out enough space for the electronics.
The model is divided up to make them easier to print and only a few parts will need supports.
The software for the project is available here: https://github.com/bloodsplated/RobCo-laser-tag-pico2w/
There will be updates coming soon to expand the game modes and add network support.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
