The Milkmaid and Her Pail

A Milkmaid walked to market with a pail of milk on her head, daydreaming. She would sell the milk, buy eggs, raise chickens, sell them, and buy a fine dress. She imagined tossing her head proudly at the fair, and as she did, the pail tumbled off and the milk spilled across the road.
Moral: Do not count your chickens before they hatch.
