The Tortoise and the Hare

The Tortoise and the Hare

A Hare mocked a Tortoise for being slow, so the Tortoise challenged him to a race. The Hare laughed and agreed. When it began, he bolted far ahead, then decided he had time for a nap in the shade. The Tortoise never stopped. He plodded on, step after patient step, and passed the sleeping Hare. By the time the Hare woke and dashed to the line, the Tortoise had already crossed it.

Moral: Slow and steady wins the race.
