As the kids like to say today, sometimes someone has "main character energy." The implication is that they're confident in their own skin, owning a room when they walk into it. TV shows have literal main characters. Even though some feature ensemble casts, there's usually one main protagonist. With The Bear, it has always been Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), the character with which the entire story is framed.
