North Buncombe baseball's Kameron Keenan is headed to Virginia Tech. He announced his commitment to the Hokies on July 27.
North Buncombe baseball's Kameron Keenan announced his commitment July 27 to Virginia Tech on Instagram.
"I would like to thank God, my parents for everything they’ve done for me over the years, coach (Matt) Pirro for all the help and support this summer, all my other coaches throughout the years who have helped and supported me, and lastly the VT coaching staff for giving me this opportunity," Keenan wrote.
He is a Class of 2027 prospect and will pitch for the Hokies. This past season, he made the All-Western North Carolina second team as an infielder.
He hit six home runs, eight doubles and had 29 RBIs and a .406 batting average.
On the mound, he went 4-2 with a 4.74 ERA, with 65 strikeouts, 27 walks and 24 hits in 34 innings.
He is the second WNC pitcher to commit to an ACC school this offseason. Roberson's Holt Gaston committed to North Carolina State on July 15.
