Jorge Polanco will remain at Triple-A Syracuse through at least the weekend to build up his playing volume before rejoining the Mets. The veteran infielder, recently acquired by New York, needs additional at-bats to prepare for his major-league return rather than heading directly to the roster. The extended assignment allows Polanco to shake off rust and gain confidence at the minor-league level.
