Murtazali Magomedov scored an incredible Octagon debut earlier tonight (Sat., June 20, 2026) at UFC Vegas 119 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside UFC Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the undefeated featherweight finisher ended Melsik Baghdasaryan with a modified twister early in the first round.

Magomedov, 26, came into Saturday’s debut as a sizeable betting favorite and for good reason. Due to his undefeated record, 100% finish rate, and knockout finish on Dana White’s Contender Series last September, Magomedov was expected to deliver the goods. That said, nobody thought “The Highlight” would turn in one of the rarest stoppages in mixed martial arts (MMA).

Baghdasaryan landed a nice kick in the early moments of the first round and it prompted Magomedov to quickly change levels. Magomedov went to work right away and secured a tight body triangle. From there, he was able to twist Baghdasaryan’s mid section until he was forced to tap in agony. It was a great debut for Magomedov and something that should keep fans excited for his next UFC appearance.
