NBA free agency is nearly two weeks old and the biggest fish still hasn't been reeled in.
LeBron James, one of the greatest players in NBA history is a free agent and he's not headed back to the Los Angeles Lakers. But where is he going?
Since free agnecy started, there's been reports. There's been rumors. There's been theories. But there's been no signings.
James will be on a new team come opening day, but when and where will LeBron James sign?
Where will LeBron James sign?
Despite a report saying James isn’t coming home, the Cleveland Cavaliers remain the top landing spot according to Polymarket. The Cavs have a 41 percent chance of landing the King.
Behind his home state are the Golden State Warriors (25 percent), the Miami Heat (22 percent and the Philadelphia 76ers (9 percent).
The Minnesota Timberwolves have a three percent chance at getting James, while the Nuggets, Spurs and Knicks have a 1 percent shot..
When will LeBron James sign?
James said he would take his time before deciding where to sign and he certainly has done that. It could be a while too.
According to Polymarket, there is a five percent chance he signs today. Not great odds.
There’s a 39 percent chance he’ll sign by July 20 and an 86 percent chance he’ll sign by July 27.
So it sounds like we might not be on the bring of a decision, but it could come in the next few weeks.
Obviously James has until October before training camp starts, but it stands to reason he’ll sign during the summer.
