Fixed-duration triplet therapy demonstrates efficacy for patients with relapsed/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia
Article excerpt
A two-year fixed-duration combination of pirtobrutinib, venetoclax, and rituximab improved progression-free survival for patients with relapsed or refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia compared with standard therapy, according to interim data from the phase 3 BRUIN CLL-322 trial presented by Matthew Davids of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The triplet regimen offers a defined treatment endpoint, potentially reducing long-term therapy burden while maintaining efficacy against this aggressive form of blood cancer in patients who have already failed initial treatment.
