Beginning in August, the Caller-Times recognized some of the top high school performances from across the Coastal Bend through the Apple Dental Center Athlete of the Week program. Now, readers will have a chance to help select the 2026 Caller-Times Apple Dental Center Fan Favorite High School Softball Player of the Year. The ballot features players from schools across the Coastal Bend who helped lead their teams to successful seasons, district championships and deep playoff runs during the 2026 season. Voting will remain open until 2 p.m. Friday, June 26 and the player receiving the most votes will be named the Caller-Times Apple Dental Center Fan Favorite High School Softball Player of the Year.
