NEWPORT, N.C., The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is the recipient of a $10,000 People's Choice Donation made possible through Veneer Technologies' employee-driven Charitable Contribution Program.

For the second consecutive year, Veneer Tech employees nominated and voted for local nonprofit organizations that are making a meaningful impact across eastern North Carolina. The People's Choice Donation empowers employees to direct the company's largest charitable gift to a cause they believe will strengthen the communities where they live and work. This year, employees selected the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain in recognition of its commitment to providing young people with safe spaces, caring mentors and opportunities to learn, grow and prepare for successful futures.

The $10,000 donation was presented during the company's quarterly team luncheon on July 2nd, where all 180 employees gathered at Newport Community Park to celebrate another quarter of hard work and the collective impact of this year's Charitable Contributions Program.

"Today isn't just about presenting a check. It's about celebrating what We Are Veneer Tech means in action," said Erin Derry, communications manager at Veneer Technologies. "Our employees are the driving force behind this program. Their generosity, their nominations, and their votes make moments like this possible. Together, we're investing in organizations that strengthen our communities and create opportunities for the next generation."

"We are so grateful for Veneer Technologies' generous support and commitment to investing in young people across eastern North Carolina," said Brittany Spear, chief development officer for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain. "Community partnerships like this help ensure Club kids have access to safe spaces, caring mentors and life-enhancing programs that support academic success, healthy lifestyles, character development and workforce readiness. Together, we are helping young people build the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to reach their full potential."

The Boys & Girls Club of the Coastal Plain was one of several organizations recognized through this term's Charitable Contributions Program. Veneer Technologies also supported Broad Street Clinic, Colonial Capital Humane Society, Project MHC, Hope Mission, and Swansboro High School throughout the six-month giving cycle, totaling $16,000 in charitable giving. While each organization serves a unique need, the program shares one common purpose: empowering employees to give back to the communities they call home. The People's Choice Donation reflects the belief that when employees come together with a shared purpose, they can create a meaningful and lasting impact in their own backyard.
