Brighton submitted an opening bid to Tottenham for Luka Vušković, the Croatian midfielder who has emerged as a target for multiple Premier League clubs. The transfer reporter David Ornstein broke the news, detailing Brighton's formal offer as the race intensifies for the HSV prospect. Tottenham, who have been tracking the 21-year-old, now face competitive pressure to either negotiate or risk losing out on the player. The bid marks the first concrete move in what appears to be a heated battle among top-flight suitors vying for Vušković's signature.

The Athletic's David Ornstein reported Brighton & Hove Albion sent a first bid to Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Luka Vušković. According to the well-respected transfer reporter, the offer is £30m (approximately €35 million) to sign the highly-rated center-back.

Ornstein also added the Croat favours the Conference League participants as his next destination, with mutual trust built with German coach Fabian Hürzeler. However, the fee looks to be very low for the 19-year-old after his flawless campaign with Hamburger SV on loan.

Since they couldn't afford his market value, HSV already gave up on turning the move permanent for the player who has a contract until 2030 with Spurs. A potential loan extension could be an option late in the window if Vušković stays with his current club. Roberto Di Zerbi's team signed Marcos Senesi from Bournemouth on free transfer, while they are also courting Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke.
