Presented by Minnesota Street Project Foundation, SFABF returns this July, welcoming 160 independent publishers from around the world.
Minnesota Street Project Foundation presents the 2026 San Francisco Art Book Fair (SFABF), taking place July 23, 26, marking 10 years since the inaugural fair in 2016.
Highly anticipated and one of the largest, free, annual Bay Area arts events, SFABF celebrates art publishing and print culture by bringing together independent publishers, artists, designers, collectors, and enthusiasts from around the world. Since its establishment 10 years prior, SFABF continues to serve as a platform for independent publishing, placing the unique history of the Bay Area in dialogue with national and international communities.
SFABF26 features an expansive roster of 160 exhibitors, including 30 international and 48 first-time participants, across three buildings along Minnesota Street in the Dogpatch neighborhood.
In The Lounge, visitors can experience a series of special projects and talks, including a timely conversation with the SFABF founders, reflecting on the global phenomenon of book fairs and ten years of this homegrown event.
In conjunction with SFABF, Minnesota Street Project Foundation is presenting a debut mural installation, ART BEFORE DISHES (2015), by Bay Area artist Susan O’Malley (1976-2015), and Thru THICK and THIN, an exhibition surveying the typographic landscape of San Francisco through a layered installation of windows, billboard structures, and reflective paintings by artist Rose D’Amato. SFABF visitors are invited to join an evening of live sound performances co-presented with Cone Shape Top after hours.
Expanding family-friendly programming, Minnesota Street Project Foundation is organizing a variety of workshops exploring billboard sign techniques, woodblock and screen printing, modular typography, and more.
In addition to the featured exhibitors and programming, SFABF is offering fundraiser editions by Bay Area artists Em Kettner, Lindsey White, and Maryam Yousif.
